- Maserati est racheté en 1997 par Ferrari. Dès 1998, l’influence de la marque au cheval cabré aura comme résultat l’annonce de la 3200 GT, et son dessin moderne signé Giugiaro. Avec son V8 3,2 l biturbo et son style audacieux (les fameux feux boomerang), elle rompt avec l’héritage de la Biturbo.
- En 2002, le V8 de la 3200 est passé de mode. Maserati présente la 4200 GT, adoptant le V8 4,2 l atmosphérique Ferrari (F136) et la boîte robotisée Cambiocorsa, inspirée de la F1. Plus fiable et performante, elle abandonne les feux boomerang pour le marché américain.
- Notre exemplaire est livré en tant que véhicule de direction à la concession Maserati Verbaere Automobiles du nord de la France le 24 avril 2003 dans cette élégante combinaison d’Azzuro Argentina avec un intérieur Grigio Medio. Peu de temps après, la voiture est vendue en Belgique à un amateur qui la conservera de 2005 à 2016.
- C’est lors de cette dernière cession que le propriétaire actuel s’en porte acquéreur, ce dernier étant tombé amoureux de sa spécificité : #9870 a les feux arrière des 3200 GT ! Un important dossier de factures est présent avec le carnet d’entretien et les livrets d’origine (accessibles sur demande). Entorse à l’origine, le propriétaire actuel a apposé deux bandes orange adhésives (aisément retirables), et a modifié certains plastiques pour leur donner une apparence carbone (tout est visible dans le rapport de condition).
- Avec une estimation aussi attractive, cette 4200 GT au suivi impeccable fait sans nul doute des voitures animées par un moteur Ferrari les plus abordables du marché !

- The Maserati was acquired by Ferrari in 1997. By 1998, the influence of the Prancing Horse brand had resulted in the announcement of the 3200 GT, with its modern design by Giugiaro. With its 3.2L twin-turbo V8 engine and bold styling (the famous boomerang headlights), it broke with the heritage of the Biturbo.
- By 2002, the V8 engine of the 3200 had gone out of fashion. Maserati introduced the 4200 GT, adopting the naturally aspirated 4.2L Ferrari V8 (F136) and the Cambiocorsa automated gearbox, inspired by F1. More reliable and powerful, it abandoned the boomerang lights for the American market.
- Our example was delivered as a company car to the Maserati Verbaere Automobiles dealership in northern France on April 24, 2003, in this elegant combination of Azzuro Argentina with a Grigio Medio interior. Shortly afterwards, the car was sold in Belgium to an enthusiast who kept it from 2005 to 2016.
- It was during this last sale that the current owner purchased the car, having fallen in love with its unique feature: #9870 has the rear lights of the 3200 GT! A large file of invoices is available with the service log and original booklets (available on request). In a break with tradition, the current owner has applied two orange adhesive strips (easily removable) and modified some of the plastic parts to give them a carbon fibre appearance (all of which is visible in the condition report).
- With such an attractive valuation, this 4200 GT with its impeccable history is undoubtedly one of the most affordable Ferrari-powered cars on the market!
