- A la fin des années 1980, la firme au cheval cabré souhaite entrer dans l’ère moderne après les années de succès des 308 et 328. La réponse est dévoilée au Salon de Francfort 1989 : la nouvelle-née reprend les lignes de la F40, avec un Cx de 0,33, excellent à cette époque ! Elle ne restera au catalogue que jusqu’en 1995, avant de faire place à la mythique F355.
- Comme confirmé dans son carnet d’entretien (tamponné depuis l’origine), notre exemplaire est livré par les établissements Pozzi via Internationale Auto à un alsacien. Elle revient en région parisienne très rapidement, où elle passera le reste de sa vie. C’est en 2016 que #92133 arrive chez le propriétaire actuel, ayant alors hésité avec une 512 TR (l’argument d’une auto avec toit ouvrant l’ayant emporté sur l’agrément du 12-cylindres).
- Quelques mois avant son achat, les établissements Pozzi avaient effectué un changement de compteur : comme indiqué sur la facture, la voiture a donc 6 447 km de moins que le kilométrage indiqué, soit un peu moins de 52 000 km d'origine ! Depuis son achat, le propriétaire actuel a offert un entretien méticuleux et régulier à son auto, avec notamment le remplacement de la distribution en juillet 2024 (moins de 500 km effectués depuis).
- Aujourd’hui, la voiture fonctionne très bien, le tout avec une sonorité envoûtante (échappement modifié, celui d’origine est vendu avec la voiture) ! La carrosserie ne présente pas de défaut notable, et les mesures de peinture laissent apparaitre un voile très léger par endroits. Simple entorse à l’origine, un adhésif au style carbone a été apposé sur certains éléments de l’habitacle, retirable aisément.
- Avec les hausses de prix considérables des F355, les 348 (qui sont en plus de cela plus rares que leurs petites sœurs !) restent aujourd’hui les dernières berlinettes en boîte manuelle abordables… Cet exemplaire a en plus de cela la chance d’avoir un suivi complet, et d’être dans un état irréprochable !

- At the end of the 1980s, the Prancing Horse brand wanted to enter the modern era after years of success with the 308 and 328. The answer was unveiled at the 1989 Frankfurt Motor Show: the new model took its cues from the F40, with a drag coefficient of 0.33, which was excellent at the time! It remained in the catalogue until 1995, before making way for the legendary F355.
- As explained in its service booklet (stamped from the outset), our model was delivered by Pozzi via Internationale Auto to a customer in Alsace. It quickly returned to the Paris region, where it spent most of its life. In 2016, #92133 arrived at its current owner, who had been hesitating between this and a 512 TR (the argument of a car with a retractable roof won out over the appeal of the 12-cylinder engine).
- A few months before its purchase, Pozzi had changed the odometer: as indicated on the invoice, the car therefore has 6,447 km less than the mileage indicated, i.e. just under 52,000 km from new! Since purchasing it, the current owner has meticulously and regularly maintained the car, including replacing the timing belt in July 2024 (less than 500 km driven since then).
- Today, the car runs very well, with a captivating sound (modified exhaust, the original one is sold with the car)! The bodywork has no notable defects, and paint measurements reveal a very slight haze in places. In a minor twist, carbon-style adhesive has been applied to certain elements of the interior, but this can be easily removed.
- With the considerable price increases for the F355, the 348 (which are also rarer than their little sister!) are now shaping up to be the last affordable manual transmission berlinettas... This example also has the advantage of having a complete service history and being in impeccable condition!
